Roots of Communication
I’ve been thinking about this for several days, and finally decided that maybe I should share my thoughts. With times, the means of communication seem to accelerate. When I was a kid, I remember my dad having the ‘brick’ phone, and not long after as the phone industry evolved, he had the Nokia…you know the one with the game ‘snakes’ on it?
I got my first phone when I was 19 years old; a simple Pantech C150 – today’s kids probably don’t even know what that is – but anyway, I was super ecstatic to have a mobile phone, even though I had to share with my older sister (or she had to share with me…)
And then…it just got better from there on supposedly. A year later I had my first smart phone, and now I’m heading on to the new S3.
Contrary to the modern means of communication, I couldn’t help but think that the old-fashioned way, the roots of communication, talking face to face, was by far, the best means available.
