Welcome back to our Qurʾān Journey! Today, I’d like to share with you a simple but powerful step in deepening our connection with the Qurʾān: Tabbing your Qurʾān.

At first, it might seem like a long process, but trust me—it’s a rewarding one! As you go through and label each sūrah, you’ll naturally start recognizing their names and order. This simple act helps you internalize the structure of the Qurʾān, making it easier to navigate and build familiarity.

Here is how you can tab your Qurʾān.

Supplies you will need:

  • Post-it tabs
    • Recommendation: Post-it 676-ALYR-C Tabs, .5″ x 1.5″ (click here)
  • Qurʾān Tabbing Images
  • A little bit of time and a whole lot of love for the Qurʾān

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Print the Tabbing Images
  2. Cut each image out individually and then stick them onto the Post-It tabs.
  3. Stick the Tabs, carefully placing them on the edge of your pages, spacing them out for easy flipping.

This is more than just an organizational tool—it’s an act of love and intention in your journey with the Qurʾān. Every time you reach for a sūrah, your tabs will be there to remind you of the effort you put in and the bond you are forming with the Book of Allah (swt).
