I sat in view of the mountains,
In awe of its towering reign,
I shared with it my journey,
And it echoed in my pain.
Each breath I took felt weighted,
An urge to release my tears,
I stared up to their Maker,
And shared with Him my fears.
Then the winds whispered so clearly,
Of His promise and His Grace,
Reminding me I’m not alone,
He’s with me in every place.
And so I walked back feeling peace,
Humbled by all that I saw around,
The beauty of His Creation,
Embracing the strength I found.
