So many young deaths…
Stricken with grief, I turned to find solace in His Creation

And so my eyes naturally wondered to the beauty of the night
I stood, I pondered, and absorbed the vast and wonderous sight

And there, as if they had been there all along, right before my eyes

Were four stars shining so bright, outstanding in the skies

How beautiful and breathtaking; jolting me to remember my grief inside

Surfaced the reason I searched peace, and once again my heart cried

Four young and innocent pure souls…, just the thought brought tears

Their last tomorrow, their new journey, but so young in their years!

Comfort was foreign as I grasped to think, how those moments must have been

Rubble and dust, confusion and death, all at that one scene

It would not be my place to say, what those radiant four were going through

God’s Wisdom is Greater and He encompasses such strength only in few

How brave and courageous to accept sacrifice at such a young age!

To be a living example, a reminder of the end, for man at every stage.

Young boys, I still look at the skies as these thoughts run through my mind

Something tells me those four shining stars were for me to find

To believe that, really, despite how it seems, you four spirits are okay

Having done your duty to help others take heed and pave the right way.

Thank you, for being of those many young souls who chose to give;

In order for others to learn, to right their wrongs, and truly live.

Thank you.
